Spicy Gumbo - A healthy alternative to going out for Fat Tuesday

Mary Browning

Fat Tuesday. Every year it is the same for the singles, and couples without children. It becomes a day for partying, bead throwing, and vibrant costumes with masks. For those with children, however, it becomes just another day that goes without celebrating.

This year, that can change. For those who can't go out to party (or would rather just stay at home), here is a delightful recipe for Gumbo. For those allergic to shellfish, feel free to eliminate the shrimp. The recipe is still just as good. This is a gluten free recipe. For the best taste, use organic ingredients. Please share it with your friends!
