Socks can be made two at a time, cuff down, toe up, straight needles and all different types of heels and toes. If you like options, knitting socks needs to be on your to-do list. Crocheters don't feel left out. There is a crochet sock pattern book listed.
They are a delight to wear and show off. Knit in the round they are easy to take with you. Who doesn't like a fun "to-go" project. You can make knee highs or ankle, pedicure or yoga...the decisions are up to you.
The list includes a crochet book, toe-up knitting and some show stopping knee highs. Sock yarns are plentiful. Some yarns even contain aloe to keep your feet smooth while you wear them.
Tip if you don't swatch: A quick test to check if a cuff down sock will fit on your foot... slip it over your hand. I have used this method myself. I often knit finger-less gloves and use the cuff pattern of one of my socks, as the cuff pattern of my mitts. I use the same number of stitches to cast on. It works for me.
