Ah, the Rue de Cambon fragrances of Chanel! The original collection consisted of fragrances created by the House of Chanel before #5 took the world by storm. This was the era when Coco Chanel was still creating Empire waisted formal dresses, lots of hats, etc. They are generally only available at Chanel boutiques (and now online), not at department stores. I don't even have a Chanel boutique near me! There's no way these expensive bottles are leaving the house. Again, Travalo Refillable Perfume Rollerball to the rescue.One never knows with Demeter whether one of their wacky scents will be added to the permanent roster or not. Funeral Home, Riding Crop, Mildew and Lobster all made their cut, but one of my fun scents, Belladonna, did not. I'm fascinated with the demographics of who's buying Demeter's offbeat collection on a regular basis -- not as a lark -- and would love to see a gathering of their wearers.There's definitely no taking this bottle of Belladonna out of the house! I'm paranoid about them getting broken and never being able to replace them, even on Ebay!One of my rare perfumes was put out by Philosophy when Christina Carlino owned the company: lemon. It's actually a set that goes with "tea" and "sugar", all of which I have. I like wearing them in the summer. When I was a youngster, I read Coco Chanel's statement, "A woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future." I certainly have always wanted a future! And yet, there has always been a disconnect between my wishes and my actual lifestyle, traveling all over the world.

Previously, I always felt like on the road, I had to use perfumes that I normally don't wear at home. These were ones that came in little free samples -- not the brands I would pick on a day-to-day basis -- or formats that wouldn't leak, such as solid touch pads . . . again, limiting my selection.

Old-fashioned travel atomizers weren't an attractive option, what with their fiddly little funnels, leakage and waste. Plus, you could only use them with bottles that didn't have a spray function, which really decimates your choices.

Travelo has modernized the whole travel perfume concept, with a refillable perfume rollerball that you can attach to any of your spray perfumes! I was happy to have been given the chance to try it out.
