Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom is a great way to celebrate the holiday. Better yet, you can do it now or all through Halloween and beyond (the last party for 2013 is on November 1). Sure, it costs extra, but you get special entertainment and unlimited trick or treating as part of your admission ticket.
You can have a lot of fun just coming to the party and playing things by ear, but you can also maximize the experience by planning out your evening. The list accompanying this article has several tips to help you plan out a fun experience.
Also, be warned that temperatures can be rather hot in Florida in September, and even into October, so plan your costumes accordingly. It's fun to dress up in the Magic Kingdom, especially if your an older child or adult who doesn't normally get to do that, but don't let something heavy and elaborate interfere with your fun.
