Organizers of Music Midtown 2013 issued a press release Saturday morning that announced the show had sold out every class of ticket for the two-day music festival in Piedmont Park. Festival promoter Peter Conlon said, "We are thrilled, as in the previous three years, we have exceeded expectations for sales,” said Conlon of Live Nation. “Our vision for Music Midtown always evolves, and we continuously strive to create the best music experience for our guests. This sell out lets us know that rain or shine Music Midtown is Atlanta’s festival.”
With classic understatement, Conlon had summed up the entire weekend. "The best music experience for our guests" was provided by the likes of Imagine Dragons, Journey and The Red Hot Chili Peppers while "rain or shine Music Midtown is Atlanta's festival" proved to be absolutely the case as more than 100,000 people enjoyed great sunshine on Friday and monsoon like conditions on Saturday.
Here then are six reasons you should have gone to Music Midtown or, if you went six reasons why you should have had a blast despite the weather on Saturday.
