Launch NYC held its inaugural Fashion Week on February 5 - 12, 2014, at 55 West 17th Street, located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, during New York Fashion Week Fall 2014. The eight-day event took a bold, forward thinking approach to the fashion industry by presenting by including a runway, retail and showroom experience during the same week for designers, buyers, and press. February 5th, the first day of the event featured the Manufacture New York Incubator Runway Show of womenswear and menswear.
The show was divided into two segments, each segment showcasing three independent fashion designers. The Ready-to-wear Fall Winter 2014 fashion show was held at 2pm, and the Demi-Couture/ Couture Fall Winter 2014 was held at 6pm. A praise worthy aspect of the show was the promotion of eco-fashion, sustainable clothes, and the local manufacturing of the garments. Also, noteworthy was very well organized, welcoming, friendly, and professional staff. Here's a list of the designers that presented their latest collection.
