We love country music and we've always loved hearing one of our favorite country music bands, Diamond Rio, when they sing. This band is from Hendersonville, Tennessee (at least most of them are) and we are friends with the band on Facebook. We can keep up with what is going on in their career as they are touring the country, playing their great music and gathering up more fans on each concert date they play.
The band can be found online at DiamondRio.com where we find the following information to tell us more about one of our favorite country music bands.
"Six-time Vocal Group of the Year, Diamond Rio won their first Grammy
their first Christian album, The Reason on Word Records which also garnered
the band their first Dove award. The band signed with Arista in the early 90's and embarked on one of the most successful careers in country music
.
The band has sold over 10 million albums earning three platinum and five gold records and won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year award four times as well as netting two Academy of Country Music Awards in the top Vocal Group of the Year category and thirteen GRAMMY ® nominations. When they debuted in 1991 with the hit “Meet in the Middle,” Diamond Rio became the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1. They continued to place 32 more singles on the Billboard chart."
You can follow Diamond Rio on Facebook and keep up with their music and their tour dates throughout the United States through their DiamondRio.com website.
Diamond Rio, members of the Grand Ole Opry, have a link to their main website page for you to check out the music of the Diamond Rio band. This is where you can find some great music by an outstanding country music band.
Leave us a note below, telling us your own favorite Diamond Rio song. I like so many of their songs, it is hard for me to pick just one. There's more to write about this popular band and perhaps we'll cover Team Rio and the charity work for Big Brothers/Big Sisters (of Middle Tennessee) in future articles about the Diamond Rio band.
