Serena Williams is used to being at the top as the number one tennis player. Now she leads another list as the latest Harris Poll has Williams as America's Favorite Female Sports Star. She has plenty of company as tennis women took five of the top ten positions.

The Harris Poll, from one of the most well known marketing and research firms in the world, lists Serena Williams at No.1 for the fifth straight year. Nascar driver Danica Patrick was No.2 among female sports stars. Lebron James was named America's Top Male Sports Star.

The latest poll from June 11-16 also shows tennis stars Venus Williams #3, Maria Sharapova #4, Billie Jean King tied at #6 and Chris Evert tied at #8.

One interesting result shows women, Mid-westerners and Southerners like Williams while men and both coasts prefer Patrick.

Conducted online, this Harris Poll was conducted online among 2,241 adults aged 18 and over. The poll is broken down by age, sex, race/ethnicity, education, region and household income as to preference.
