The last traditional backyard BBQ holiday, the solemn observance of the 9/11 tragedy, National Beheading Day and Elephant Appreciation Day, all events to circle the dates on your September holiday calendar.
The first week is filled with fun holidays. National Beheading Day is September 2. I sent out invitations for my Beheading party months ago. Hope you got yours. September 3 is Skyscraper Day, September4 is Newspaper Carrier Day and the 5th is Be Late for something Day and National Cheese Pizza Day.
The middle of the month is chock full of festivities. Chocolate Milk Shake Day, Blame Someone Else Day, Defy Superstition Day, Fortune Cookie Day, National Peanut Day, Positive Thinking Day and National Cream-Filled Donut Day all fall between September 12 and 14. The list goes on and on.
September 22 is the aforementioned Elephant Appreciation Day and my sister’s birthday. Happy birthday Cook and make sure you send a card and hug an elephant.
The month winds down on the 25th with National Comic Book Day.
But there are three September holidays I appreciate and plan to celebrate. Check out the list for these holidays and maybe get some party ideas.
