Week 7 of the NFL season was built around Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck. But by the time the week was over, it was all about the various season-ending and threatening injuries for notable stars. Therefore, Oct. 21 became a day filled with big injury announcements, as the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams and Houston Texans were among the teams who confirmed the worst.
Two starting quarterbacks were sidelined for a long period of time, although Jay Cutler will be back much sooner than Sam Bradford. Another supposed starting quarterback still has to undergo concussions, leaving the Philadelphia Eagles with two injured signal callers. As for the Colts, their biggest win of the season was undercut by the loss of their second biggest offensive star.
It was a brutal week all around for the supposedly safer NFL. Here is a list of all the big names who suffered big injuries that will sideline them for weeks, if not for all of 2013.
