San Diego Comic Con 2014 has come and gone with some truly memorable announcements and debuts that will keep the public buzzing until next year. Here is a recap from the last two days of the pop culture madness.

First look at Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman costume

In what I personally consider the most exciting reveal of the entire con, Warner Brothers, DC Comics and director Zack Snyder revealed to the world Gal Gadot in her iconic Wonder Woman costume for the first time ever.

The costume is very traditional Wonder Woman, keeping intact the emblem, colors and of course the tiara.  I personally loved the casting choice of Gal Gadot (Fast and Furious 5) to play the Amazonian princess in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."  Her warrior armor costume looks absolutely perfect for Wonder Woman's live-action film debut.

The galactic misfit team will be getting a sequel even before the film is released in North America.  Marvel Studios announced Saturday at SDCC that they have green lit "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" to be released in July 28, 2017.

Director James Gunn will also return to write and direct the sequel.  If early reviews are correct, expect the first film to be an entertaining ride that will deserve more than enough excitement from fans for a sequel.

Publishers IDW and Boom! Studios will be collaborating to bring two of the most successful sci-fi properties together in a once in a lifetime crossover.  The original U.S.S. Enterprise will come face to face with the original survivors of the "Planet of the Apes" film.

Get ready to see Captain Kirk and Spock dissect the social environment of Taylor's twisted version of humanity of Earth.

While the Wonder Woman costume reveal was certainly mind blowing, it wasn't the only source of excitement for fans of Zack Snyder's upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel.  Fans that waited in lines for days were first to see a short teaser that featured Ben Affleck's Batman wearing what seems to be an armored suit similar to that from Frank Miller's legendary comic "The Dark Knight Returns."

Naturally, the internet blew up with anticipation of an armored Batman dueling with Superman.  If the fight in "Dawn of Justice" is half as awesome as the one in "The Dark Knight Returns," we will be in for quite a treat.

Batman wasn't the only one to reveal some new armor at SDCC this year.

Fans have long anticipated Iron Man to wear his Hulkbuster armor to face the Hulk upon seeing concept art of the fight two years ago.  This past weekend at SDCC, Marvel Studios gave fans who made it inside the panel quite the treat.

The lucky few saw the fight scene between Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, decked with his Hulkbuster armor, against Mark Ruffalo's Hulk.  Early talk was that the scene blew away any action sequence in the entire first Avenger's film.

Looks like Joss Whedon and the rest of the crew have raised the bar for "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
