Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker broke another National Basket Association (NBA) historical record Monday night with the San Antonio Spurs’ 122-105 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Game 1 of the Western Conference placed the dynamic trio in their 110th playoff win together. They are now tied with Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Cooper of the Los Angeles Lakers, when they hit that mark in the 1980-89 era for the NBA record for the number of playoff wins by a trio.

This is the 12th season together for Duncan, Ginobili and Parker after beginning their dynasty in the 2002-2003 season. Over the span of their time as teammates, the trinity of basketball have pushed the Spurs into the playoffs every season and winning the NBA title three times.

This season the Spurs retained the title for the most internationally diverse team, with seven countries represented on their roster of ten international players. Duncan is from the U.S. Virgin Islands, Ginobili is a citizen of Argentina, and Parker, born in Belgium, hails from France.

The Spurs, who have this season’s best NBA record, are enjoying their third straight conference finals appearance this year.
Parker turned 32 a few days ago while Duncan celebrated his 38th birthday in April. Ginobili is 36.

Manu Ginobili breaks through in Game 1. Ginobili has the current record of Free-Throw percentages. On January 29, 2009, against Phoenix Manu Ginobili made 18 for 18 attempts. The Duncan-Ginobili-Parker team could arguably be considered the greatest trio is NBA history as they move forward with more record breaking games.
