On Sunday, November 3, 2013 over 25,000 runners will line up for the NYC Marathon. Among the thousands will be many local runners. About 100 of them will be going up the Jersey Shore Running Club buses that will take runners to the start in Staten Island and pick them up at the finish in Central Park. The buses are very popular for participants. There are still a few seats left on the buses and information can be found here. A bus load of volunteers who will be working at the finish line will also be going up for the day.
Among the people on the bus many are running for a reason. One is Nicole Klemas of Jackson, N.J.
Nicole will be using the race as an opportunity to raise funds for Special Strides Therapeutic Riding Center, a farm in Monroe Township that serves as a non-profit therapeutic facility for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
