Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival announce 2013 line up: Rob Zombie, Five Finger

Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival is soon to be upon us again. They have been taunting us for months with teasers and innuendo about who may play on this year's tour. Today the waiting is over.

This afternoon, March 18, they have announced the roster for what will be one of the summer's biggest draws, and The Examiner is here to give you the lowdown on each of the bands set to perform.

The 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival lineup this year features Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon and Amon Amarth on the main stage.

The Festival area will showcase Machine Head, Children Of Bodom, Behemoth, Job For A Cowboy, Emmure, Born Of Osiris, Motionless In White, Butcher Babies, Battlecross, Huntress, Thrown Into Exile and City In The Sea.

This marks the first year the festival has showcased so much European talent. The additions of Huntress and Butcher Babies should add plenty of sex appeal to what is generally a male-dominated tour line-up.

This year's tour will, for the first time, feature four stages - The Rockstar Energy Drink Main Stage, The Jagermeister Stage, Musicians Institute Stage and the Sumerian/Headbang For The Highway Concourse Stage which will feature local bands performing and announced in June.

The tour kicks off on June 29th in San Bernardino and runs through August 4th with tickets on sale beginning this Friday March 22nd at 12:00 noon local time via www.rockstarmayhemfest.com or through www.livenation.com.

2013 marks the seventh year for the massive heavy metal event which manages to blend all manner of the genre's many sub cultures onto one massively successful yearly event. Mayhem was created by Kevin Lyman and John Reese. Lyman had already proved his mettle with the hugely triumphant Vans Warped Tour. Reese is also Lyman's partner for the Taste of Chaos tour.
