Rock the Frock

When it comes to springtime in New Orleans there are a few things you can count on: 1. Lots of warm weather (often hot), 2. appetizing cuisine, and 3. a festival (or two) every weekend.

From Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette, to Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival or New Orleans Jazz Fest you have your pick of rockin' it out to great music from jazz to zydeco. And while you and a several thousand of your closest friends are enjoying the sounds of the local bands, loading up on tasty bites under a beautiful beaming sun; you may want to make sure your festive fashions are suitable to rock it out and make you a standout favorite from the crowd.

Festivals are the perfect occasion for a mashup of music+fashion. So, here are my top fashion styles spotted this past March at Fashion Week New Orleans and are also great guide in helping you dress fashionable for fest frolicking. But if you're weekend plans don't include kicking it up a notch and dancing until the sun goes down at one of the many festivals taking place in the region; no worries these looks are also be suitable for casual Fridays, lounging in the park or happy hour with girlfriends.
