Every week brings new wines to be tasted in Reno. This week is no different with several tastings, a class, and a wine walk all in the Reno area. The tastings feature Italian, Spanish, and California wines. The class is learning the basics of wine tasting. And the wine walk, well, that's just fun.
On Wednesday, April 30, Whispering Vines will be pouring K Vintners wines for tastings at their Foothill location. K Vintners, out of Washington State produces whites as well as Syrahs. They have received accolades from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator and others. The cost is $30. Whispering Vine is located at 85 Foothill Road.
On Thursday, May 1st, Whispering Vine will offer tastings of Spanish Wines from Ole imports. The tasting is offered at both the Foothill location and 3886 Mayberry Drive. The cost is $15.
On Thursday, May 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 learn the basics of wine tasting including how to identify the elements and score wine like a pro. The class is offered at Total Wine. The cost is $20.
Total Wine Tasting
This week-end, Total Wine will be hosting a tasting of Italian wines at their tasting table. The tastings are offered on Friday and Saturday from noon to 6pm and Sunday from noon to 4pm. The cost is free. Total Wine is located at 6671 S. Virginia St.
Ben's Fine Wine and Spirits
Ben's Fine Wine and Spirits is hosting a wine tasting at their Lakeside store. They will be pouring big reds from California, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Zinfandel from 4:30 to 6:30. The cost is $5. 3480 Lakeside Drive.
Virginia City Wine Walk
Last month Virginia City kicked off its first wine walk event. They will continue on the first Saturday of each month through August. This month the event is on Saturday, May 3 from 11am to 4pm. 18 merchants are participating. The cost is $20. You can begin your wine tour of Virginia City at the visitors' Center. Reno Wine Walk
Coming up on May 17th is the Reno Walk. It takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month in downtown Reno from 2pm to 5pm on the River. The cost is $20.
