Here in the southwest territory we’ve all been on pins and needles this past week or so. After 200 Bureau of Land Management agents surrounded Cliven Bundy at his ranch hundreds of American citizens rallied to his defense. The feds were well armed as were some of the people there to defend Bundy. If somebody would have fired a shot we would have seen something bigger than the OK corral it could have been the shot that started a civil war.
Eventually enough Americans showed up to form a militia and surround the BLM. Fortunately, Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie was able to negotiate a truce between the two forces.
Ammon Bundy with tazer marks

Nevada Senator Harry Reid wants Cliven Bundy off the land. Reid’s reasons aren’t factual yet. What began as land to sanction a desert tortoise was revealed it was for a Chinese Solar plant and now it comes to light that oil is also the motivating factor.
Banner spells the situation
Reid has been President Obama’s right hand man throughout his reign. It’s now evident that Obama doesn’t believe in American's right to personal property. Friday Reid called Bundy a Domestic Terrorist-Bundy responded.
It’s true that the BLM has charged Bundy “grassing fees” for years. However, the Bundy family has had that land since the 1870’s long before the government grew into the gargantuan behemoth we see before us today.
Signs of the Times
It’s interesting that the government growth coincided with the $17.5 trillion debt and civil rights, privacy, and the 99%’s net worth went down. Sure, there’s been some cutbacks in federal employees but that’s greatly offset by Obamacare and the other policies enacted since Obama took office.
Meanwhile in New Mexico another rancher just lost his ranch to the Feds over a fish- the Gila trout. The Bundy affair wasn’t an isolated event subsequently western lawmakers are coming up with ways to save the lands from further federal attacks. Ron Paul warns that the Feds could return and launch a deadly Waco-Style assault.
