Do you really want to drop a bunch of Benjamins on a Valentine's Day dinner?
If you can and you want to impress your sweetheart, why not? If dinner is going to cut into your rent/mortgage or utilities for February, reconsider: there's alot of winter left around here.
Choose one of these Chicago area spots that offers a lot for not so much. If s/he really loves you, a simpler dinner should suffice as long as you're together (insert smooching sounds here).
