Real names of the stars

There are some celebrities who were born with names that already invoke the world of Hollywood, such as Sophia Coppola or Charlie Sheen. But there are also those stars who shed their given surname and assume a new stage name than not only sets them apart but comes to define who they are.

In fact, there are some stars we wouldn't even recognize if their names were overheard in conversation. Would you think of the 'Piano Man' if you heard the name Reginald Dwight mentioned? Doubtful. Now what about Elton John? That's right, Reginald Dwight is the name Sir Elton's parents gave him. Would Sid Vicious have been the destructive and infamous rocker he was if he'd stuck with John Ritchie? Seems unlikely.
