Toddlers are hard to catch and keep still for any length of time. It’s kind of the name of the game: they run, parents chase them, and you spend half of your day explaining why they should not stick keys in the electrical outlet, why the dog does not like his tail pulled, and why big brother or sister has to do schoolwork instead of playing right now. When you can capture them with a book, even if it’s just a few minutes, you can breathe a sigh of relief and rest assured that you’re providing your child with valuable educational skills.
So what do you read to them? What books will capture a child’s attention, but still be worthwhile? Are there any books that aren’t worthwhile and valuable? See the list for a few ideas.
