Rats will be invading the Jersey Shore again making their beach head in Wall Township, N.J. on Saturday, October 12, 2013. The “Rats” will be spirited runners who will be participating in the Fall Edition of the .
This annual event draws people from all over the country to participate in a “hash” style of run (or walking) of 3 - 5 miles over woodland trails/swamp & stream, down sewers and through tunnels, get eaten by piranha, and mud, followed by a fantastic party of 4 great draft beers (including Guinness Stout, Heineken, Miller, Long Trail Ale), lots of food, music and fun games for prizes.
With the popularity of mud runs, Spartan challenges and similar events this should be of particular interest to that crowd. This is the real original “mud run” and you don’t have to pay up to a hundred dollars to participate.
According to Race Director and Head Rat Bill Scholl of Wall Township NJ, “After the race you can enjoy your favorite beer and other refreshments at Pat's 30 Acres, Hurley Pond Road, Wall, N.J. that is convenient to the Garden State Parkway.“
Registration includes run, bus, food, beer/beverage, party. Register by September 30, 2013.to get early rat prices.
