Don’t put the umbrellas too far back in the closet because you will need them once again in the near future.
Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy this evening. We will see an increase in clouds overnight as a weak weather system slides by to our southwest. These clouds will give way to patches of sun for the first half of Friday. An approaching frontal boundary will cause skies to go completely cloudy once again by late afternoon. Warm southwesterly winds ahead of the front will help boost temperatures to near 50 degrees. If your car is in need of a wash or you need to do some work outdoors, tomorrow is your day!
Rain will approach from the northwest after 7 p.m. Friday evening. Anyone with plans outside should take an umbrella. Temperatures will remain somewhat mild in the middle 40s through the evening hours. As colder air filters in later during the night, lows will dip towards the freezing mark.
Cooler air will be in place on Saturday with highs barely reaching the lower 40s. A few leftover morning showers could end as a flurry or two. Temperatures will be too warm for accumulation. Expect a chilly Saturday night with lows in the 20s and a rebound only to around 40 degrees once again Sunday.
Another weather system will star to send moisture back into central Ohio on Sunday night. Temperatures will be near freezing which means a light mix of freezing rain or snow will be possible overnight. Right now it does not look like any significant accumulation will occur. In addition, temperatures will start to rise quickly above freezing after sunrise Monday morning.
As a strong area of low pressure moves through Monday, rain will become widespread. Some rumbles of thunder will even be possible by the evening when a strong cold front blasts across Ohio. Temperatures will tumble back down below freezing Tuesday morning changing any leftover showers to snow showers. Expect cold weather and persistent flurries for the middle of next week.
