Without breaking down list, I would say he falls in the third tier of stars from the modern era (which to me is 1985-present). Tier 1 has the likes of Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels. Tier 2 to would be the Triple H’s and Randy Savage’s of the world. Tier 3 would include guys like Warrior, Bill Goldberg, and a guy like Kane.
It sure seems like it. I’m happy Young is in the spot he is as he’s a very good worker and deserving of the push he is getting. The issue I have with it is Young was a comedy character up until he won the title while Bryan was built up over a period of time and had the big payoff at Wrestle Mania.
I know it’s early but what will headline Summer Slam 2014?
If I had to guess, I would say Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar will be the main event of Summer Slam.
Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Mania 30 by defeating both Batista and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat match. Bryan made Batista tap out.
Eric Young won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship a few weeks back by defeating Brutus Magnus via pin fall. This marks Young's first World Championship run in TNA.
The Ultimate Warrior's run from 1989-1991 in WWE was one of the hottest runs for any star in the company's history. The highlight came when he defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWE Championship at Wrestle Mania 6.
Brock Lesnar has only wrestled twice on pay per view this year. He defeated Big Show at the 2014 Royal Rumble and then went on to defeat The Undertaker at Wrestle Mania 30.
With Hulk Hogan back with the WWE, rumors will constantly swirl on whether he will work another match. While most think he will not, there is a chance he could work a bout, possibly a tag team bout.
