Preparing your outdoor space for spring

With snow melting around the country many people are itching to get outside and work on things. Before you run out the door, make a list of things you need and want to do. Tackling outdoor spring projects can be overwhelming. Take them one at a time and prioritize.

One of the first projects people want to tackle is the yard. Soggy muddy spring lawns need to be prepared for summer and all those flower beds and landscaping areas need to be tended to.

Before you can start any of the projects you need to make sure you have the tools and you want to check them for any problems.

Clear the gutters, put the screens on your windows, and finish any small outdoor repairs before the heat of summer hits. It’s also a good idea to check your outdoor water spicket and air conditioner for any malfunctions. Once your spring home improvements are done and the temperature raises you want to be prepared. Finding out your air conditioner doesn’t work when the temperature reaches 90 will only add more stress.
