On Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 2-4 p.m., you can come to the new Aullwood Farm and Education Center, 1000 Aullwood Road and get your Easter photos taken with some recently rescued Dutch bunny babies!
Aullwood’s family-friendly setting is a great place to get your spring photos taken with cute baby bunnies and help out the rabbits at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, as all proceeds will go directly to those shelter bunnies. Professional photographer Ashley Mauro is kindly donating her time, and Aullwood is waiving their admittance fee to allow families to spend their $15 on 3 digital photos which will be emailed directly to the families in time for Easter! This is also a great opportunity to see the new education center and learn more about farm life, animals, plants, birds and more!
Unlike some other big-box corporate photo studios, the rabbits used in these photos are rescued rabbits who are kindly treated, adoptable (once they are old enough to be spayed), and are not discarded after Easter is over. These little Dutch girl babies are about 3 months old and cute as bug’s ears (applications will be taken if you are interested in adoption; the Humane Society will contact you when they are available for adoption).
Humane Society volunteers will also be on hand to talk to visitors about the many benefits of adopting shelter or rescue rabbits, what you need to care for a rabbit, and the many joys of having a house rabbit as a pet.
Again, all proceeds for this event will go directly to the rabbits at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton; it’s a win-win for everyone!
