Photos: Oscars 2013, Jennifer Lawrence laughs after falling at Academy Awards

Here in San Francisco it was one of the best nights of television, with everyone home watching the 2013 Oscars. (See the article here on when the Oscars were on: When are the Oscars showing? 2013 Academy Awards being shown)

Nobody could have missed, however, the fall made by Jennifer Lawrence.

Jennifer Lawrence was the Best Actress winner at the 2013 Oscars (Best Picture went to Argo), but she fell on the way to getting her award.

Lawrence was then asked questions about that fall and ended up giving the funniest interview of the evening.

"I just gasped when I watched her fall, I was hoping somebody would hurry to help her up," says San Francisco resident, Katie Adler.

Jennifer Lawrence was about to be presented the award for Best Actress after her role in Silver Linings Playbook, but when she tripped on the staircase, that action ended up overshadowing her well-deserved Oscar.

Being the gracious artist she is, however, Lawrence didn't let that mistake ruin her night.

As quoted in the UK's Guardian newspaper, during a backstage press conference, Lawrence made light of the fall:

"Was that on purpose? Of course it was," she said.

And what actually went on in her head as it happened during the Oscars ceremony?

Says the UK's Telegraph:

"A bad word, that I can't say....that starts with F." Soon after, amid the continuous laughter from the assembled journalists and Lawrence herself, she admitted: "I'm sorry, I did a shot before I came out here...sorry!"
