Perry Township was the first one to make a move under the state laws to organize a school establishing its first school around 1820. The township schools No. 1 through No. 10 are detailed below as well as Perry Heights, which was established in 1939 as townships moved away from the one-room schoolhouses and built larger consolidated schools.
