Atlanta Hawks' center Zaza Pachulia has become the latest addition to Hawks shot down for the 2012-13 season.
Pachulia, who has been out since March 3 with an injury to his foot, will have surgery to repair his Achilles' tendon later this week. His expected recovery time will be six months, meaning that the pending free agent may have played his last game in a Hawks uniform.
Pachulia has appeared in 52 games (including 15 starts) with the Hawks in this, his eighth season. The 29 year old center has averaged 5.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 21.8 minutes per game.
Since Pachulia went down with the injury, Johan Petro has been inserted into the Hawks' lineup more frequently. Since March 3 when Pachulia went down, the Hawks have posted an 8-8 record.
The injury is not the first significant one to hit the Hawks this season, as this list shows. The team hopes, however, that this is the last significant injury the team has heading into the playoffs. John Jenkins left their last game with a concussion, but the team hopes the reserve shooter will not be out too long.
