‘Overtaken’ is the next book ‘10 for 10’ from Aspen Comics

'Overtaken' wins the fan vote to be Aspen's next '10 for 10' comic

Aspen Comics has announced the winner of their "You Decide" voting campaign as “Overtaken”. The title will debut on August 21, 2013 as the seventh of Aspen’s 10 for 10 initiative. “Overtaken” defeated “Awaken Skies” in a vote held through Facebook.com.

The all-new sci-fi comic book will be written by the series creator Frank Mastromauro and artist Marco Lorenzano. The promotional artwork for the series by the comic book newcomer is gorgeous.

But what is the series about? From the Aspen Comics press release:

Journalist Will Harden is well equipped for most situations, but nothing can prepare him for what’s about to come. Relocating from the big city to a small mountain town with his wife, everything is turned upside-down the moment she goes missing. Are the rumors of alien abductions true or did something far worse happen to his wife? No matter the cause, Harden will not stop until he uncovers the truth, or die trying.

“Overtaken #1” will receive all the incentives that the other “10 for 10” comics have received with Reserved Edition covers, limited sketch covers and the follow up covers will sport artwork from J. Scott Campbell and Eric Balsadua.

“Overtaken” is the fifth title from the “10 for 10” to have its full creative team announced. Aspen is still holding the creators of the remaining five series close to their vest. Expect big announcements soon.
