The Firefly Music Festival moved into its third day on Saturday, June 21. The four-day festival held at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway drew an impressive lineup for 2014. Saturday's featured artists included the imaginative Beck, Imagine Dragons and this year's festival darlings, Outkast. Cage the Elephant and Twenty One Pilots both drew active crowds with highly energetic sets.
The expansion to seven stages, including the intimate Coffee House, has given attendees numerous options to experience at the festival in an idealistic setting. The Firefly grounds literally ooze personality with an atmosphere that changes to fit the setting. The rain forecast for the past few days has held off, leaving near-perfect conditions for the music festival. Unfortunately, that also meant airborne dust was everywhere.
The 2014 Firefly festival will come to a close on Sunday with a full lineup that begins at 12:30 p.m. The always impressive and equally mellow Jack Johnson will headline, while The Lumineers, Weezer and Broken Bells are also on the lineup. Oddly, Jack Johnson is the only of the three main headliners to play with opposition—Childish Gambino will perform at the same time on the Lawn Stage.
