The latest news: LaBeouf revealing emails between himself, director David Sullivan, and Baldwin. Disputes are not new to Hollywood, or any creative forum for that matter, but the addition of social media outlets like Twitter definitely take things to a new level and it certainly did for the Shia-Alec feud.

Hollywood is full of gossip, backstabbing and bullying but some feuds are much worse than others. Sometimes it's death threats, sometimes it's sexist or homophobic slurs, and sometimes it's jealousy over a stolen boyfriend, but one thing's certain - celebrity feuds can get low-down and mean.

Some stars' wars are waged on Twitter or in the media, and others take on a very personal and vindictive nature. While Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears became friends from their time on the Mickey Mouse Club their friendship took a rough turn when Xtina starting dating Justin Timberlake. What followed were nasty allegations about Spears, including Aguilera's accusation that Britney "let herself go" while she was pregnant.

  • A feud erupted between Tom Cruise and Brooke Shields when he questioned her use of drugs to treat postpartum depression instead of relying on vitamins. After Cruise's couch jumping and rants I'm not sure how credible his line of questioning is or if it'll hold up in public eye.
  • This is not uncommon among creative geniuses. Paul McCartney and John Lennon had a running feud after The Beatles split that they both regretted later. With Lennon’s passing I’m sure there was even deeper regret. 
  • After Sean Penn ridiculed Wyclef Jean's bid for president of Haiti, Jean shot back with drug allegations. Jean did not win his bid for presidency and Penn continues to do what he does. No love lost.
  • According to ParentDish, Christina Aguilera accused Britney Spears of lip-synching and 'letting herself go' when she was pregnant back in 2005. Well, not long after, Christina gained some weight herself. You'd think that the early-2000s feud would be over there, but earlier this year, our favorite "The Voice" threw out even more insults at Britney and even N*SYNC, according to Perez Hilton. Ouch! Looks like this Hollywood feud isn't headed toward any sort of resolution any time soon.
  • Perez Hilton alleged that Will.i.am and his security guards attacked him. The rapper denied the incident. The drama began with an altercation when Perez was confronted about remarks he made regarding the Black Eyed Peas album. Will. i. am would recount Perez calling him a 'faggot'  if front of fans.  
  • Joan Rivers accused Chelsea Handler of having no talent and only getting her break by sleeping with a CEO. I'm sure she didn't call out the rest of Hollywood on this tactic. Pretty sure she's not the first and won't be the last. Lighten up Joan
  • Country stars Toby Keith and The Dixie Chicks became embroiled in a political and public feud. ”It’s ignorant, and it makes country music sound ignorant,” is what one Dixie Chick had to say about a Toby Keith song. This ignited the flames.
  • Nick Cannon offered to meet Eminem in the ring after the rapper claimed to have a steamy relationship with Mariah Carey. Although the fight night never came about, there has not been an official peace treaty.
  • Socialites Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton finally put down the gloves after a two year long rivalry. The two media heavy socialites have since faded from the paparazzi forefront.
  • Daniel Craig showed he's no fan of the Kardashians when he called the famous family '(explicit) idiots' and a rivalry erupted. The very private actor may have a huge disdain for the reality TV world. You think?
  • Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston began feuding when he left her daughter (and mother of his child) and began bad mouthing the former governor's parenting skills. He has disappeared from the media light but Bristol has made quite a few appearances. I guess we know who wins.
  • Lindsay Lohan started a Twitter war when she was offended that Amanda Bynes received no punishment for a DUI when Lohan had to do time in jail. Repeat offenders always want special treatment. She's been over too many times to be treated as a guest.
  • 50 cent and The Game's rivalry devolved into homophobic slurs when there were disputes between the two. Their war of word still continue to this day. Peace has not really been established despite a public treaty.
  • Nicki Minaj threatened to punch fellow 'American Idol' judge Mariah Carey and there were even rumors of death threats. Since the two have managed to coexist on the show without tearing each other apart. On camera at least.
  • Controversy hit in 2010 when the two late show hosts ended up competing for the same job. Leno moved up and Conan became the new host of the "Tonight Show." When ratings were not in favor of either host, NBC moved Leno back to his original position as "Tonight Show" host and fired Conan. Conan has told The Hollywood Reporter, "The odds are we will both leave this Earth without speaking to each other, which is fine."
  • When these two clashed, bottles were flying in the club. Sparked by an affinity for the same woman, Rihanna, the two exchanged words in a NY nightclub which lead to an all out brawl. Brown left with a split chin and a few bystanders were injured.
  • This feud is simply a war of words via Twitter after Mark Cuban used Kobe as a "hypothetical" to explain the "amnesty clause" in the NBA. The Lakers organization didn't like these remarks and responded, which later led Kobe to voice his thoughts over Twitter.
