Telluride has wrapped up, Toronto is just getting underway and Venice is drawing to a close. This is the time when Oscar season officially kicks off, and already critics and pundits are attempting to proclaim front-runners.
Many award caliber films have premiered at the three aforementioned fests, but we still have New York Film Festival coming up at the end of the month with a couple high profile premieres, and then there are the films that won’t be screened at any fest. So to sum up, we’ve only just begun.
That being said lets take a look at what we have in front of us, and which ten films have good shots at being nominated.
