Country music entertainer, Jack Greene, has passed away at age 83 in Nashville. Most will recall his smiling face from the days of the Grand Ole Opry, when it was being televised locally by either CMT or GAC TV.
He continued to tour in later years. Back in his early days Jack Greene was in the backup band for country music entertainer Ernest Tubb.
When he left the Ernest Tubb touring team and began on his own rights as a singer, we recall some of the tunes he made popular, but probably none quite as great as his song 'Statue of a Fool'. You can find that song on YouTube by clicking on the link above.
