The kids are back in school, and fall is in the air. It's not usually the time of year that you think about water parks, but it's actually the perfect time to visit one when you're at Walt Disney World.
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are open all year 'round, other than temporary closures for rehab. The closures are staggered, so one of the two is always open no matter when you visit. Winter's not a bad time to go to the water parks if you're hearty. When you come from the north, even temperatures in the 70s feel balmy enough for swimming when you've just left a world of cold and snow.
But my favorite time of year at the water parks is the early part of the fall off-season. The list accompanying this article goes through five reasons why I highly recommend adding one of them (Typhoon Lagoon is my personal favorite) to your autumn itinerary if you love swimming, sun, and water slides.
