October 5, 2013

Northwestern hosts Ohio State in the Buckeyes and Wildcats first meeting on the Gridiron in five years. The Number 16 Wildcats enter the game with their highest national ranking since they were 14th on September 30, 2001. That NU team started 3-0, lost at Ohio State and then proceeded to lose six of their last seven.

Northwestern enters this matchup with the Buckeyes 4-0. Its a cliché to say they haven't played their best game, but it's likely their best performance is still coming. Running Back Venric Mark will return after getting injured in the opener at California.

The Wildcats have lost 28 of the last 29 meetings with Ohio State. Their only win was a 33-27 overtime victory at Ryan Field in 2004.
