NFL: Joe Flacco talks contract with David Letterman, Lions release Titus Young

Just one day after leading the Baltimore Ravens to a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco was a guest on David Letterman’s ‘Late Show’ where he did address his contract situation and if he had talked to Ravens’ owner Steve Busciotti. Here is what Flacco had to say:

"Well, you know, actually, I only talked to him a little bit before this game, but before the New England game, you know, he just came up to me and said, 'Listen, this is our time, and go get 'em. We have all the faith in you, and this is going to be your team for a long time.”

Here in Detroit, the Lions have finally released wide receiver Titus Young after a number of incidents where Young was asked to leave the team, including a fist fight with teammate Louis Delmas last year and an outburst on Twitter a few weeks back. Young has 81 catches in 26 games as a Lion. With the move, Ryan Broyles becomes the No. two wide out on the depth chart for Detroit as this time.
