A jam-packed week of new Netflix streaming releases starts today with a great double feature for comedy fan: “The Nantucket Festival 2nd Annual Comedy Roundtable” featuring Ben Stiller, Mike Myers, Seth Meyers and Michael Ian Black, as well as a standup special from acclaimed comic John Mulaney, “New in Town.” It’s just the beginning of a week filled with intriguing new releases.
The most publicized premiere is the Netflix original documentary “Mitt”, a look at Mitt Romney’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, featuring unprecedented access to the man and his family. The documentary premieres tomorrow.
January 29th brings the smash hit, Oscar-nominated film “The Croods,” featuring voice work from Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds and many more. Fans of martial arts should check out Netflix on the 25th, which will feature the debut of Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut “Man of Tai Chi.” Also premiering that day is season 2 of TNT’s reboot of “Dallas,” which features Larry Hagman’s last few episodes as the iconic J.R. (Hagman passed during the season’s production.)
