New on Netflix Streaming: Classics, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Pokemon and more

A jam-packed week of Netflix Streaming releases begins today with “Inequality for All,” a recent documentary from former U.S. labor secretary Robert Reich on America’s growing economic gap. It’s just the beginning of a week filled with both new and classic releases.

March 1 brings “Capote,” starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his sole Oscar-winning role. The performance serves as a poignant reminder of this prodigiously talented actor.

Another upcoming streaming debut is “Rake,” the Australian series that was recently remade by Fox into a starring vehicle for Greg Kinnear. The first two seasons of the original series debut on March 1.

Several classic films come to Netflix Streaming, including “Roman Holiday,” “Night of the Living Dead,” “The Silence of the Lambs” and “The Ice Storm.” The week also features recent releases, such as the aforementioned Reich documentary, as well as last year’s “Sweetwater,” a “thriller western” starring Ed Harris and January Jones.

This is just the beginning of a remarkable slate, including films starring Tom Cruise, Will Ferrell, Paul Newman, Claire Danes and James Franco.
