New on Netflix Streaming: 2013 releases highlight the week

This week’s Netflix Streaming releases highlight films from last year, starting today with “Peeples,” the Tyler Perry-produced comedy starring Craig Robinson, Kerry Washington and David Alan Grier. Another recent release, the acclaimed indie “The Dirties,” also arrives today.

Releases from 2013 continue to arrive throughout the week, including the summer action franchise “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” starring Dwayne Johnson and Jonathan Pryce. “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” arrives to Netflix Saturday, along with the 2013 indie comedy “G.B.F.”

Arriving Sunday April 13 is“The Bible: The Epic Miniseries,” the sprawling drama produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett for The History Channel. The miniseries was recently edited down to a two and a half hour film for theatrical release.

The 2013 releases continue later in the week with “Interior: Leather Bar,” James Franco’s arty examination of scenes from the William Friedkin film “Cruising.” Another release from last year, “The Family” starring Robert DeNiro and Michelle Pfeiffer, arrives on the 16th.
