The college football year is heading into the second half of the season and a clearer picture is emerging as to who the good, bad and ugly are. For the Mountain West Conference, it appears one team is a cut above the rest … but it's not who you may have thought of when the season started.
When the season began, the Mountain West was being touted as the BCS-buster conference with up to five schools considered for cracking the BCS ceiling. However, only one of those five squads made it through the first two weeks without a blemish on their record. On other side of the spectrum, there are two teams that haven’t beaten an FBS opponent - and one of them was thought to be a contender.
There are several teams out west with the potential to go bowling. In any case, here is a look at all six teams in the West Division and where they stand currently.
