Let me ask, are you excited for the new generation? This coming E3 will probably present the first wave of games that are fully built around the hardware of the new set of systems and luckily for us there is a nice list titles waiting to take advantage of this new technology. This is a top ten most exciting, most stoked, most hype, most anticipated showing at E3 2014.
Far Cry 4
Farcry has always been a dear series, especially for pc gamers in consideration to graphics and map customization. Now, with the new generation of machines, we can expect the console port to be just as entertaining and deep. However, Farcry 4 will need to follow up Farcry 3’s story mode which had a whole lot of character, looking at the new box art, I am sure we all are atleast intrigued at what 4 has to offer us.
Bungies new baby, Destiny is set in a mysterious universe with mysterious creatures, technology, and powers, but hopefully this E3 it will be just a little bit less mysterious.
Expect a huge game, Expect a huge show, it seems Bungie is holding nothing back with this game and fans are clawing at the internet to know more.
Uncharted became a huge series with the PS3 and many fans are dying to hear about the continuation and this E3 is where X marks the spot. Hopefully with the new and improved PS Network we get a stronger multiplayer component and with all that new power, maybe we can get even better animations to drive home the story campaign.
The Legend of Zelda
This series is beloved to many and its formula is timeless. A new Zelda game that fully utilizes the Wii U is bound to appear this E3. With the Wii U and especially in consideration to The Legend of Zelda series, gameplay and game mechanics could be anything and almost everyone is excited to see what they have up their sleeves.
Project Beast is rumored to be a new Souls game that will be hosted exclusively on Sony’s console. This will likely be Demon Souls 2 but it could be a whole new game. What can we expect? Likely an improved equip mechanic since they can utilize the ps4’s touchpad and of course much higher visual fidelity. After the PC release of Dark Souls 2, I think many are expecting a 60 fps souls game on consoles coming soon.
God of War 4
God of War was an excellent IP that meshed well with many of sony’s adult themed rpg’s but what made God of War so popular was its aggression. With the Sony PS4, we can expect even faster combat, more gruesome gore, and more a more beautiful brutality.
Halo 5: Guardians
We grew up with the Chief, regardless of age the gaming community itself matured with the Halo franchise, so it’s no wonder that this is on the list. Halo 5: Guardians will hopefully get some light shed during this coming E3 and apparently it’s going to be the biggest Halo game to date.
We are excited for Fallout 4 because with the new generation of consoles, anything could happen. Larger monsters, larger world. More choices and more customization, Fallout is a game about decisions and with new hardware there is no one direction that the game has to take. A new Fallout announcement would be huge, exciting, and probably will surprise everyone with what they come up with. Fallout 3 was a revolution and I am sure we can expect the same from this new game.
Final Fantasy 15
Two long awaited RPG’s might just show everyone what all the hype is about. Previously known as Final Fantasy Versus, Final Fantasy 15 already has shown us absolutely amazing visuals and incredibly impactful gameplay and cinematics. However, Kingdom Hearts 3 which will likely be a similar title in a different universe, has shown next to nothing yet. While many play these games for the story elements, with the new systems we can expect even stronger and more fun all around gameplay to compliment the awesome visuals and world settings.
