As we travel throughout the Nashville area, we always keep an eye on the gas prices and buy gas when we find the best price. Some parts of town have higher gas prices, while some other gas stations can be as much as a dime per gallon lower than the ones just up the street.

We usually do find that gas prices near interstate on and off ramps tend to be higher than those off the beaten path.

It usually pays to check around and there are several web sites online, such as 'GasBuddy.com' where you can check on the price of gas each day before you leave home. You can search for your state, city or zip code to get specifics for your area, or if you are traveling, then you can put in the zip code of your destination to see if you should buy gas before you arrive there.
