Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week continues to sizzle with the Mara Hoffman Spring 2014 collection on the catwalk on Sept. 7. However, before going out to show these swoon-worthy wares, her lanky models prepared to get in the right mood to snag as much attention as possible once the heat was on. Yes, backstage madness is all part of this pretty picture.
This particular picture happened on a day when many other top designers were debuting their own sartorial statements set to be on store shelves come next year.
Indeed, today's entries included those ensembles coming from Jill Stuart, Charlotte Ronson, and Monique Lhullier. All the new work, including that of Mara Hoffman, were on hand as this quartet and even more fashion greats shared their cutting edge looks at Lincoln Center.
So how did Mara Hoffman's crew manage to stand out?
Many of her models donned thick braids wrapped in bright African cloth. This acted to add to her style creations that would eventually astound the New York-based designer's legions of fans, which include luminaries like Nellie Furtado, Drew Barrymore, and Nicole Richie.
And so, when all the striking Mara Hoffman models were finally ready to make their appearance just in time for their 2 p.m. call, all sauntered onto center stage on Sept. 7 to pose in fresh styles made of rich fabrics as these much anticipated garments finally hit the Merecedes-Benz Fashion Week catwalk.
All this took place in New York City where, outside, temperature soared to 78 degrees. Talk about a warm reception.
