Do you wonder about the interesting facts associated with Olympic athletes? Do you want to know what the athletes do in their free time? Are you interested in learning where the athletes attended college?

You’ll find answers to those questions and more in the list to follow, where you’ll be introduced to each member of the 2014 U.S. Olympic figure skating team.

The team, which is made up of 15 athletes — seven men and eight women — will head to Sochi in an effort to bring home gold in their respective events. The sport of figure skating is composed of several events, including men’s and women’s individual, pairs skating, and ice dancing. There’s even a new event this year: the team competition, which allows extra skates for those selected.

The figure skating events began on February 6 with the skates for the team event. You can find a full schedule of luge events here.
