Fashion designer Marissa Webb presented her third solo womenswear collection, with a runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 on September 5, at Lincoln Center. The fashion show consisted of twenty-eight looks of her Marissa Webb Spring Summer 2014 collection. The style of clothes had the signature Webb touch, feminine with a visible hints of menswear. It's a style Ms. Webb found lots of success with as the lead female designer for J. Crew for over a decade.
A blush pink silk petal top, with matching full mini skirt and green lace-up heels, started off the show. It was very soft, feminine and pretty. The matching blush pink belt is a perfect detail. A casual cool look with a slight boyfriend wear overtone is was a white silk tunic blouse, fatigue canvas pant with black leather detail, and black ankle strap heels. Another wonderful example of injecting a bit a male details into womenswear was a mixed tweeds with leather cropped jacket, neon yellow tie blouse, super sexy tweed shorts and black lace-up pumps.
Marissa Webb also designs women's shoe. For the show she presented lace-up heels in nude, electric blue, black and green; in addition to cut-out booties in silver or black, and others. Jewelry was provided by Yael Sonia Fine Jewelry.
