With all the hormones and antibiotics in cow's milk today, and issues with possible hormone disruption or GMOs from soymilk, more people are turning to nut milks like almond and cashew readily available in the grocery store dairy aisle next to other milks. However most yogurt sections, although getting larger and offering more types of yogurt, do not seem to carry nut milk yogurt.
The solution is to make your own nondairy nut milk yogurt. The problem will be making enough to keep it in the house. View the pictures for directions on how simple it is to make. A yogurt maker may simplify the process but it can be made in the car on sunny days, a Dutch oven in the oven, an insulated thermos, a warmed sealed crock pot, or just wrapped in a blanket too.
