Here in San Francisco all eyes yesterday were on the weather in the North East, particularly in New York and Boston. The town of Boston was almost buried in around 3 feet of snow after Blizzard Nemo hit.
In that huge snow storm, six people were killed. One of them was a little boy who was killed by carbon monoxide poisoning as he tried to stay warm in his father's vehicle after it was stuck in the snow drift created by Blizzard Nemo. Three of the people who were killed were from Canada.
People in both San Francisco and in the North East are watching the weather changes carefully and are fascinated by the pictures of what people are doing after Blizzard Nemo.
Flights in and out of cities in the North East were cancelled or postponed. Over 5,000 flights were affected. If you are planning to fly anywhere from San Francisco today, check with your carrier. Blizzard Nemo has left many airports closed.
See photos of Blizzard Nemo in the slideshow. The news was not all doom and gloom and some people managed to enjoy the sudden snow storm.
