Ti’s the season...for pumpkin! Once fall is here people just can't seem to get enough of pumpkin. Whether it's Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte or mom's homemade pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, pumpkin is found everywhere. Some of these commercial pumpkin products though are super high in calories, fat or sugar and sometimes eve all three, which is sad because pumpkin is actually good for you. Pumpkin is high in beta carotene, vitamin C, niacin, phosphorus, potassium and fiber. Luckily there are some 'good' products on the market that are low calorie and high flavored. Not all contain real pumpkin though but at least they satisfy the pumpkin craving this time of the year.
