Hundreds of pets are missing after the holidays

It's been a busy week for Lost & Found Ohio Pets. Every holiday creates opportunities for pets to escape their homes and go missing. Visitors come and go, deliveries are made, and you can't count on delivery people or visitors to watch out for your pet. Gates get left open, pets shoot out of open doors, there's just no preventing the accidents that can happen. In the winter months, a pet on the loose can be in real trouble, especially when the temperatures dip and the conditions get icy.

Dozens of animals have been posted as lost or found this past week; so many that once again, they have to be split into two separate columns in order to show them all. Please view this week's lost pets in the list attached to this article.

The lost and found pets that appear in this article want to be reunited with their families, and their families are looking for them! Remember, the found pets here that end up in shelters will only get a three day hold grace period, and after that they can be euthanized! If you see a pet in the list that is missing from your area, please keep on the lookout, and please continue to share with your friends.

The Cleveland Pets Examiner runs a Lost & Found Friday column each week. Check the list every Friday here in the Cleveland Pets column and share it with others who you think may be able to help or network the information.
