One of the most fascinating tourist attractions in the Anaheim Resort, after the Disneyland Resort itself, is the Anaheim GardenWalk. It’s a open air shopping complex right on Katella Avenue. In addition to boutique retail stores, it has UltraStar Cinemas and 300 Anaheim Bowling & Entertainment Center. It also has a variety of incredible, contemporary restaurants and lounges.
The restaurants showcased in this list are all a cut above the ordinary. You will find my reviews on the following six Anaheim GardenWalk restaurants:
- Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
- FiRE + iCE Grill + Bar
- Cheesecake Factory
- McCormick & Schmick's Grille
- P.F. Chang's China Bistro
- Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine

Side View of Bubba Gump on Katella in Anaheim GardenWalk
The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in the Anaheim GardenWalk is a wonderful place for casual dining. It has a fun, relaxing atmosphere that relies on the film, Forrest Gump, for some of its atmosphere. They even have two patios for those wanting to enjoy the lovely Southern California outdoors. As you might expect from the name, Bubba Gump’s specialty is shrimp, though not the only dish on the menu. Dorothy and I rated Bubba Gump Shrimp Company high for food, service and atmosphere – and for fresh brewed iced tea. For those who want an alcoholic drink, Bubba Gump has a bar.
Anaheim Gardenwalk Cheesecake Factory
The Anaheim Gardenwalk Cheesecake Factory is an exceptionally exotic dining experience. We found they delighted the eye as well as the palate. Their menu is so eclectic that you may find yourself investing a lot of time deciding which items to try. Every one we’ve ever had was delicious while being artistically arranged on the plate. Unequivocally, The Cheesecake Factory is one of our absolute favorite restaurant chains. The combination of exceptionally good food, delightful atmosphere, and superb service created a fantasy dining experience for us.
Fire + Ice Grill + Bar in Anaheim Gardenwalk
Fire + Ice Bar + Grill is designed for socializing over food and drinks. Dorothy and I found it to be an American take on Mongolian BBQ because you get to select the meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces and pasta you want grilled together for you while everyone visits around the circular grill visiting while the cook prepares your food. After he dishes it up, you can return to your table to enjoy your evening with your companion(s) over your meals.
McCormick & Schmick's Grille in Anaheim GardenWalk
McCormick & Schmick's Grille is known for their seafood and steaks. They also serve poultry, pastas and more. I was delighted when we dined there to find that they had Seafood Stew. Dorothy had Rigatoni Bolanaise with ground pork and ground beef over pasta. All of our dishes were wonderful.
At the bar, you can order food featuring fresh ingredients. They’re proud too of their hand-crafted, blender-free cocktails using fresh squeezed juices.
The Anaheim GardenWalk McCormick & Schmick's Grille had everything we look for in a memorable dining experience: a delightful atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service.
P.F. Chang's China Bistro in Anaheim GardenWalk
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro in the Anaheim GardenWalk presents you the opportunity to enjoy a Chinese restaurant with casual fine dining. The food was delicious. They are also unique in that they provide a menu with gluten free choices of some of their main dishes. Best of all, these dishes had all the flavor I would have hoped for off the regular menu. P.F. Chang’s serving sizes were generous. We had leftovers of our noodles and both entrées. The service was exceptional. And the ambiance was classy and restful. We highly recommend it.
Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine at Anaheim GardenWalk
When you want an exotic dining experience or a romantic evening, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine in the Anaheim GardenWalk deserves to be at the top of your list. Roy’s provides a casual fine dining environment where the atmosphere of the restaurant combines with exceptional service and unique dishes to serve you not only superb cuisine but also a delightfully memorable event. We loved the creativity in Roy's Hawaiian fusion cuisine as well as the attractive presentations. Roy’s understated elegance rounded out the three things I look for in an exceptional restaurant: atmosphere, food, and service. Another aspect of Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine that warrants mention is that the noise level was low enough to provide a comfortable backdrop thereby allowing us to hear ourselves talk. This is essential in romantic restaurants. If you are looking for some place really special to celebrate or just to impress your guest(s), be sure to get your reservation early.
